R34 Coilpack Replacement Help? Pay With Beer!

Recommended Posts

sup y'all

ok, i've attempted to play mechanic but i think i was trying to walk before i could crawl... see.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...5entry1614695

anyways, got me some Splitfire Coilpacks and need to put em in the 34, just wondering if anyone knows how to do this and able to come round to my place and help? For your troubles, i will supply 6 pack of beer of choice. I've been told it's not a major job, bout 30mins from start to finish but i really don't know what i'm doing and don't want to screw anything up.

so yeah, 6 pack for 30 mins work... not a bad deal :P

i would drive the sucker over to someone's place to get help, but having no number plates is kinda restrictive :)

i need to get the alarm guy to come around to fix a few things, but the battery is flat so he can't really test anything. Wanna chuck in the new packs so i can give the battery a good charge without worrying bout driving the thing around, or leaving it idling with dodgey coilpacks.

thanks heaps for the offer, i'll pm you now :D

hahaha, bring me a friggen compliance plate and i'll bring you 10 slabs of Asahi Duncan!

hey patrick, blind_elk has kindly offered his services for thursday evening, so i'm right at this stage. Thanks for the offer tho, much appreciated :)

just want to say a huuuuuuuuge thanks to Greg (blind_elk) for coming round on Thursday to help me put the packs in.

This so wasn't a 30 min job like some had mentioned :D A couple cut fingers (mine) and a couple hours later, the packs are in and hopefully all the hoses and such connected back up

now, just to find the time to jump start the car and see if i really did have some dodgy Nissan coilpacks prev. Hope it solves the WRX problem.

finally got around to giving the car a jump start the other night...

man, what a difference. Running smooth as silk, could barely hear it with all windows up and just pulled over at the side of the road...

i haven't driven it for ages, like months, but i thought the power delivery was a bit more linear, seemed a little more responsive...

but couldn't really drive it much, only like 20 mins... but it was always develop a problem previously if i drove it for that long so i'm 99% the coil packs have solved the problem i was having.

thanks again Greg :)
