hello all

yea ...just bought one of those turbo tech manual boost controllers ...and went to install it and realised that the cefiro doesnt have a stock bov .........is it safe to increase boost without a bov?

does anyone know the reason why they didnt come with them while the r32's did?...was is becasue it was family car .....?

thanks

I can't speak for nissan themselves as far as WHY they did not fit one........

BUT, i personally feel you will be fine to run up to 0.9bar without a BOV (preferably FMIC attached for the sake of your engine)

OR you could buy the Blitz BOV i have here that came off an RB20det R32 and still has the pipe (i assume it will suit the cefiro RB20det too)

Installation consists of two hose clamps, remove pipe, replace pipe then tighten clamps.......away you go PPPSSSSSCCHHT

Cheers

I found if you have a front strut brace you can not used the R32 'J' pipe BOV pipe as it fouls with the strut brace

yea i have a front strut brace and was thinking the same thing ......

hey man i didnt have one so we fabriscated our own pieces so i could have a plumb back

yea ...i want to go plumback to .....u got a pic of ur setup?

and yea front mount will be coming soon ........it will have to wait a little bit though ...cause i just spent a heap of money on wheels

I have the same problem. Just bought a strut brace and it doesn't fit b/c of the bov.

One way around it could be to get an aftermarket bov that sits on an adaptor plate, which would sit it sideways instead of up. But i don't really want to waste money on a bov that will only make my car run worse and annoy me after a few months.
