Turbine Housings

just want to know would a .82AR exhaust housing be laggy on an rb20, say would it hit full boost (14psi) at 4000rpm. i dont know much at all about tubine housings... if anybody knows anything about exhaust housings and lagg on an rb20 please help us out. as im tryin to pick an ehxuast housing.

What brand/size/configuration turbo? Size of the rotating assembly and compressor A/R are an important part of the whole equation.

Rule of thumb is that a larger turbine A/R = more efficiency at higher flow (more power), but trade off of higher engine RPM to get things working efficiently.

You need to be fairly clear about what engine characteristics and power level you're shooting for.

There are people putting gt3540's with .82 housings on 2 litre lancers and stuff. and im sure you rb20 will spool it quicker then a 4 cyl would ???

well, it takes 4000rpm to spool a .86 on a rb25 from what people are saying, so I;d expect your to be about 4500rpn.

It will be fairly laggy... maybe get a .63..
