When did you blokes go through the old pac? A bloke got taken off his bike at the northern end (gosford) and wasnt in good shape so the road had to be blocked. Most bikers come off there because they often cut the corners and clip a car racing the other way, so take it easy on the blind corners

Get your coils packs checked aswell as your sparkplugs.

k, will do

GTAHH.. yeah there were 2 motorbike accidents that i saw throughout the day on that road..... very sad.

Don't think this is causing the issuethat we are having, main reason we're driving popcorn makers is because of excess fuel (while running very rich) being dumped is igniting in the dump pipe when we back off the throttle from full boost..

cars aren't stuttering or suffering issues with ignition which is a normal indication of coil packs.. if it was a coil pack issue it would most likely be happening when it's wet or higher up in the rev range not 700rpm..

i get the same popcorn sort of noise, but only when ive revved it out a bit past 4k. A bit of excess fuel dribbles into the exhaust and ignites (i assume?)

Did the same thing when the car was stock (but more boost). Definitely not an issue with the coils, because it happens off boost.

Sounds like it could be a common thing in skylines and prob turbo's for that matter.. not helped when it's a hot day either.. as it was on Sunday.. had all the windows down and sunroof open.. was still bloody hot..

what time did people hang around Avoca till?? Stan - how's that video coming along.. I wanna see - make sure you leave some sounds in the background, always nice to hear a turbo spoolin..

I have both problems...lol..

The only popping I ever get is when I push the car to near red-line and then let go of the accelerator - when the revs are coming back down, there is a TINY little 'pop' that goes off :D

It's so tiny I can't even be bothered worrying about it...

yeh i think most skylines get that though.. i also need a powerfc, but dont have the money for it. car runs a lil rough on high boost (11psi)

I'll take you for a ride next time stan and you can listen to my beast.. I'm over it now.. just makes me chuckle everytime.. my mate and i were just laughing about it the whole way up.. Your SAFC2 could be helping to counter the issue..

Man let me get home first :D and Menthu_Rae and I will be looking at this video on Friday - trying to figure out how to lock it down so only WE (SAU Members) can access it :P

EDIT:

Hey Ed I sent it to you last night... haven't you got it yet?
