Tension Rods

Just had my tension rods changed on my R33 GTS-T over the weekend from stock items to the Cusco adjustable items.

Never realised what a big difference it made...

Much better turn in, more direct steering feel but more kick back from steering when going over bumps on crappy Sydney roads...

Anyone else have experiences good or bad with aftermarket adjustable tension rods...?

yeah, they are one of the best mods for drift especially. how much more direct is it!!? now you'll go and drive a skyline with stock rods, and the steering will feel so much more vauge.

how much castor did u dial in? i think mine are set to +9 degrees

I got a set of castor rods aswell

I've got 7.98 left side, right side is a tad less caus it wont 'god' with the road, if you know wat i mean.

Took about 15-20 mins of driving for it to kick in as such and i thought i broke something!

Would not go back so much better.

Check the spherical bearings often, they wear out very fast. Good luck finding replacements, you usually have to buy new complete rods.
