I bought the Stagea to tow the race car and fill the back with the necessary stuff for a race weekend. Better than the Foulcan we had before, and the Stagea is a much better mobile spare parts bin. There are some bits that will fit the R32GTST if need be.

:) cheers :)

PS; it's none of your business how old I am :):D:unsure::(

I'm 30 going on 20. Sometimes I feel old, like when some 'youngster' runs around me on the league field and I can't catch them like I could a few years ago.

Ahhh, the vigour of youth.

Ah, finally a stagea owner (excluding myself) who was at least born AFTER I started to drive, though he still would have been in nappies…

And if you think you've slowed down between 20 and 30, wait a bit longer... :)

Mental age: 5

Physical age: 28

Bought the stag cause the 33 just didnt cut it for size with a family of 4 to drive around including two small kids.

Was not planning to buy it, just came up at a BARGAIN price and just seemed logical and just had to upgrade :)

younger than i thought, gotta love the staj and its no comparision to a commodore for driving comfort, the stagea has about 50mm thick floor deadening under the carpet and commos have about 3mm thick wool haha  :D

2 sunroofs are the best feature ever  :D

Weeeellll - let me blow your 'young' theory out the door. After 5 arthroscopies (knee surgery) plus a major knee re-construction, plus 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks and the owner of a Series 2 Stagea ........

There is a few numbers after fifty - I fit in there. BUT, and it is a big BUT, you are as young as you feel and life is a ball.

The reason for the Stagea - it is different, the dogs need quality transport and the tax man knows I use it for work.

ps See all Stagea owners have something in common - knees, dogs, and cars!!!

 hahahaha... too true! although fairly soon I'll be 1 less patella (kneecap)! does that make me only a half owner?? 7 surgeries going on 8 (spent 8months now in a full leg brace with absolutley no leg movement), and pretty much crippled. Was a footy player with some potential (read 201cm tall and 120 gym-type kgs!), but now a expert recliner tester........ :D

But I love the Stag, and riding my Fireblade damn hard thru the Adelaide Hills keeps me relatively sane and feeling immortal.

I'm looking at my first knee reco in about a year i think, but this is due to my taekwondo competition fighting, also a bit of alcohol helped it out.

Auto's are great for that though, the first time i buggered my knee i had a manual 33, it sucked to drive. i learned to shift without the clutch pretty well though

Yep - I had my left leg out of action for about 9 months a few years ago, rapidly got the hang of changing gears without the clutch... Not that hard when you have to!

Well, I'm 31, and seeing as I picked up my car today, I figured I could finally post in here...

Oh, and it's a MANUAL!!!

Yes, I have two knees! Yes, I have a car! Yes, I have a dog!

The Corolla in the shot attached is my old car, now my sister's, but it will still be my daily...

Manual converted right?

Got any interior shots of surround/dash/details on the conversion?

I bought the car off a guy called Alan (username on these forums is "Argo"), so any info he's already provided is all I have.

Here's a link to what he's previously given... His info starts on page 5, post #63 onwards...

Cheers all,

Nick T.

    • This lady loved her FD for 25 years!  https://www.topspeed.com/80-year-old-woman-donates-fd-rx-7-mazda/ My brother in law. He's nice enough to let me drive it whenever. He'll likely not see this, but I'll try: @r-is-for-fun got any pics?
    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365. Scan of a magazine with the black R33 from 1996: Wayback machine archived page from May, 2000: https://web.archive.org/web/20000529061027/http://www.emotion-r.co.jp/skyline.html Option magazine with a few photos from the Cockpit Tatebayashi booth at the Auto Salon from various years: 2002: http://www.jdm-option.com/photo/index.php?action=item&category_id=154&image_id=3507 2003: http://www.jdm-option.com/photo/index.php?action=item&category_id=137&image_id=3033 2005: http://www.jdm-option.com/photo/index.php?action=item&category_id=116&image_id=1831 In 2008 Cusco website mentions that the Cockpit Tatebayashi ECR33 was displayed at that year's Tokyo Auto Salon: https://www.cusco.co.jp/event/2008/12/post_735.html As of 2021 it appears that the ECR33 demo car ended up being exported to Florida, USA: https://rmcmiami.com/inventory/1996-nissan-skyline-r33-cockpit-tatebayashi-demo-car-big-te06-turbo-endless-brakes-lsd-450hp/ And finally here's Google streetview of the Emorion R garage in 2023 which is amazingly not only still there, but the showroom is still full of various parts in stock and funishings, etc.: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ttyEAZdZLyzermyT9 Apologies for nerding out a bit. I used to love doing this 20 years ago on SAU and got a bit nostalgic for a moment... 😅
    • Try fabricating something like this and install it under the pedals? Not sure if it's legal or not....
    • Even though I have some pretty good (brand) ratchet ringies, I avoid using them to break open tight bolts. A broken ratchet is very annoying.
