What would be involved in simply buying a car from interstate

and bringing it back to your own?

Changing licence plates, rego etc etc?

from and to which state? if ur bringing one into NSW then it has to go over the pits so it will need to be totally legal, and the more standard the better...not sure about other states

Going back to SA, Regency would prob want to have a loot at it.

I bought mine from Victoria and brought it back to NSW. It needed blue slip, change to nsw rego then i had to get a 'supposedly random' RTA inspection at one of there major checking stations. Which checks if it's a rebirth or majorly unstructurly safe. Took about a month to be all done once I bought the car. This was 2003 by the way.
