Hi guys,

I have a 1994 nissan skyline gtst r32. I have recently bought this car and it has a brass button clutch installed. I find that sometimes when i take off, the whole car rumbles violently. It only happens sometimes but when it does, it seems like the whole dash is going to fall apart.

Is this something generally associated with button clutches? or could the problem lie deepers?

Thanks

does it happen at low revs or all the time?? coz unless you have the revs up on a brass button, it is going to shudder when you are letting it off as the plates dont tend to have alot of give in them and bounce on and off causing shudder...maybe try just to give it a bit more revs and lift off the clutch a little more harsher to get it to engage quicker and completely instead of riding it half out or something..

I have a brass button in my 33 and it does the same thing if it doesn't get enough revs. You just need to get used to the brass button and find the right revs and friction point of the clutch.
