hey peoples,

ive just got a job working on the big oil rigs, and i have to leave my girl in the shed for a long period of time. ive heard that there is a list of things u have to do to the car to insure that it will work when i get back.

i know about the battery and fuel going off so far is there any thing else

?????

Thankyou

all help is needed

talked to a m8 but the same issue n he reckons

u cld drain oil i guess, but wldn't drain ALL fluids such as coolant (radiator)

unless u are 500% sure there is no moisture in there otherwise, the slightest bit of moisture cld cause ur radiator to corrode from the inside out

just a thought

yeh ive thought of doing the last 2 things.....im thinking of selling it but then we i come back on breaks i wont have a car :D and i dont want to no poo goto have a line.....and i could try a friend.... cheers

I would pump the tyres up to 60psi. This will stop them from getting flat spots. Also.....do not drain the fluids. It is almost a must that it be started and run to operating temp once a month to avoid damage.

If you try to start it after one year of sitting....expect it to blow smoke for the rest of it's life.....but then again, you could be lucky.
