R32 Gtr Hicas Sensor 12 And 6 Or 7 And 2 Oclock

Been searching posts and found that R32 GTRS seem to have the Hicas locating lugs at different positions

My gtr is 89 and the Zero deg slot on the Sensor wheel lines up with its photo transistor in the sensor block when at 7-2 oclock

My wheel which is factory GTR has the holes for the lugs at 12-6 so i get the old hicas error light after 10mins of expressway driving ( no turning)

My wheel is in good nick for a 89 wheel so im thinking its off a later model and they are meant to have the 12-6 position for the lugs.

Background:

there are three photo transistors in the sensor block

2 of them switch the fine pulses with the rising edge of the pulses at 90 degrees apart this is called quadrature in my field(industrial electronics) so the computer can tell which direction the wheel is moving looks to be about 1 degrees per pulse but i didnt bother counting how many there are per rev to work out degrees.

The other one is for zero degrees it lines up with one slot about 10 fine pulses wide so your zero degrees only comes on in one spot +- about 10 degrees

This is how i can tell my car lines up at 7-2 oclock

what R32 GTR Year models use 7-2 and what year models use 12-6
