Anyone Know What This Is?

Got defected cos this thing wasn't hooked up properly (missing a hose connection)..anyone know what it is and where it hooks in???

thats your boost controller soleniod.

that one has no use if you're hooking up an aftermarket boost controller (im assuming you've got one). get a spare vac hose, seal it off at one end somehow (mines sealed with a screw driven into it). attach the hose and you're done.

Well i've got no boost control then... yet how come my boost stays at a steady 7psi?? Is it due to some sort of restrictor?

Cop thought it was part of the pollution control gear, so defected me for it. Need to figure out where it hooks in..

im sure it goes to your wastegate actuator

the hose i have circled in blue is the hose that should go to your wastegate and be providing the 7 psi steady boost. The boost solenoid has been bypassed so you dont have the 2 stage boost. If it is hooked up you will be limited to 5psi below 5000 rpm then only above this you will get 7. Where is the hose going that is hooked up to it? can you provide a better picture.
