Making Power With Standard Rb25det Afm

Was just wondering as now im going to be making much more power then before - why do I have to change the AFM to a Z32 when my mate made 314 rwkw out of a standard rb25det airflow meter with PFC.

How has he done this when others say its not possible ? if he can do it why dont everyone else ?

C&V Tuned his car for him and it is making that power because he ran a 11.2 on street legal slicks.

ok, once the afm is maxed out, you can keep going by checking the AFR's i think.

The extra air is still being sucked in, the AFM just doesnt see it. So you compensate by the tuning

Its not as accurate or safe as upgrading the AFM in my view, but its possible to have ot maxed out and make another 80rwkw

Not too far off thread, but what exactly is required to fit up either a Z32 or Q45 AFM? I've seen comments about plugs etc, but if you want to upgrade, what is needed?
