Have put a Wolf3D V4 into an R31 Passage. Have encountered a problem which I have run out of answers for, as has AEM Australia. Just need some fresh thoughts to try something else otherwise it's gonna get a MicroTech...

Setup: RB20DET gold top in R31 Skyline

Induction: standard turbo, frontmount intercooler, standard plenum and manifold

Fuel: custom fuel rail with 550cc RX7 injectors (all new). Standard fuel pump.

Ignition: 3x Bosch 'Mitsubishi' ignitors, Falcon EF coil pack, standard cam sensor with Wolf trigger plate.

ECU: Wolf3D V4 : banked injector and banked ignition setup.

Problem: when motor is running, RPM reading (on laptop from ECU) jumps back and forth up to 2000rpm. Motor does not alter RPM, only ignition reading. This makes the map ref points erratic, making it impossible to tune and motor runs 'rough'

Tried: originally thought it was trigger problem. Tried 3 different cam sensors, 2 different trigger discs. ECU was retested by Wolf and found no problem with ECU or with program configuration. Have rewired cam sensor but still no change.

Wolf tech has no idea as to what the problem is, has not seen it before.

Anyone have any ideas???
