and to say the 33 doesnt look like any skyline at all....its as close as you're gonna get (appearence wise) to an R34, without it being an R34

32 is more like a 33, just enlarged

31 (HR imports) and 34 put side by side have a lot of similar styling influences IMO.

Just some of the reade 1/4 lines and what now are very shaply

Ill say one thing I would by a 350z over it any day. I will treat is as a work in progress, it looks a lot better than the sketches so hopefully they will make the same headway with the actual production vehicle.

i reckon it will change over the next year

it is a concept and it will be heavily scrutinised by the public, journo's etc.

Loz

True.

The back looks unreal.

Would have been better if it had R34 style or similar headlights.

Looks great, with great potential.

Engine specs anyone?

yep, sadly i'm pretty sure the rb will not be seen after r34.

judging by the quad exhaust the new gtr will more than likely be V8 too...

Turbo v8 right?

Best of both worlds.....

Like most comments...I don't mind the overall look but that rear pillar will have to be worked on as the angles just look all wrong.

As for the engine the quads do suggest a V8 but I hope they stick with tradition and turbo it. Would also make it easy to sell in america by just removing the turb's...

while there's been plenty of talk about an 8 powering the new cars, i reckon we'll see a twin turb v6. nissan has poured plenty into their latest crop of v6's and, by all accounts, they aint too bad. one thing for sure, the inline 6 is dead *kicks and screams and flails about unhappily*

    • I love my R32 interior but then I also love the generic 90's nissan vibe from R33s/S14s/Pulsars etc 100%
    • I have seen this happen in cases like the R33 GTR where they eliminated the ATTESA actuator rod retaining clip to save 5 cents. Parts diagram references it, the actual part doesn't. Also if you try and look up the specific retaining clip on an R33 GTR it resolves to nothing. But it exists on R32 GTRs as I discovered a week or two ago.

    • The R32 suffers from an instrument binnacle that is uncomfortably close to the design of a VN Commodore's. But beyond that, the layout of the rest of everything, and the materials (ie the vinyl coverings on dash, armrest, etc) are acceptable, and the patterns on the fabrics are not as blergh as those in the R33. And R33 seats are....quite unattractive. I know it's only small details there, but I reckon the R33 got worse than the 32. But the big blergh is the overall shape of the dash on the R33. It's just has that whole Maxima/Pulsar sort of look to it. Nothing special at all. Generic Nissan sedan. Whereas, at least the R32 dash/binnacle was different. Less a wide expanse of boringly curved plastic. More a "cockpit" sort of look, even if nowhere near to the degree that the A90 Supras got. R34 seats look good on their own, until you realise that they are indistinguishable from the shape and fabric on 70 other Japanese cars. And the foam bolsters on them suffer even worse than the earlier cars. Other than that I don't really have an opinion the rest of the R34 interior. I took the bits of the R34 I wanted (brakes and engine) and added them to the best external appearance Skyline in the modern era (the 32). So nyerr!
