Any cleaning up of the ports is going to is going to yield a gain, a slight cleanup should be fine for you application. The less restriction in the head the more power you will make. Find somwhere to get it extrude honed..

If you're using aftermarket manifolds, knock the bump out. It's there to match up with the standard exhaust manifold where it kicks in around the manifold stud so you can tighten the nut. Taking it out is worth between 5 & 10% flow on the flowbench. Using the standard manifolds though you will probably lose performance if you take it out as you will have a square edge that the gas will hit on the manifold.

im getting my rb26 head ported, and wondering what a rough estimate of cost for a full house port and polish job for max power, im using the single turbo manifold and going for over 600rwhp

any shops to reccomend for the job in wa, or around australia? i dont want some wally with 10 min experience with a die grinder doin it :angry:
