Boost Controller Spiking

OK, can someone please help me. I just installed a turbosmart boostcontroller, like a single stage boost tap. And i'm pretty sure i've got it right, but it spiked wen i went for a fang. Any ideas what i've done wrong?????

Make sure the pipe that went to the original boost solenoid (the bit that hung off the T-piece) has been blocked off. Some people use a screw in the end or me, i just left the T-piece on and tightly wrapped some electrical tape around both ends.

Otherwise... you'll get almost unlimited boost, your little needle hitting the top of the scale??? Not good

keep the piping as short as posible, i have seen a guy install a dual stage controller in the cab with hugh long piping the result was hugh boost piking (or over run) as it took slow long for the system to respond.
