@ whippet, I cracked a 488km/h in the RUF CTR2... and i've heard of other on the GTPlanet forum who have hit in excess of 510km/h, try advusting the downforce on the car as well. Although I should tell you if you adjust way too much downforce on the rear and not enough on the front, the car will do a wheelie.... but i garentee that that 510 mark will be history.

Also try a car like the Minolta 88-C (i've seen it hit 516 kph) or the mercedes sauber, these cars are by farr quicker than the Bentley.

Check out this thread for some insane top speed records.....

Woah.. and i though i had a high speed. Very Nice

how the heck can you guys drift in that game? It's do-able on GT3 but on GT4, the cars act retarded. I've got traction control off but it just acts gay and doesn't drift smoothly. WTF settings are you guys using?

7.503 c-spec wrx :D:D

spent 2 hrs tuning it though  :(

any of you guys use the logitech driving force pro? its awesome fun drifting using it  :(

sorry if this has been covered before, but what steeringwheel/pedal set is the best for GT4?

What do you guys use?

i'm considering buying one as trying to drift with the stock controller is very hard, its either full throttle or nothing (using the X botton for gas).

i use the Logitech Driving Force Pro

It has the ability to rotate the wheel 2.5 times, thus meaning an absolute handful to try n drive, especially with a fast car!

But makes drifitng an hell of alot of fun!

i have it mounted on the top of an old computer table that comes off, great height n is sturdy as. Its in an U shape.

Comes with plastic clamps to clamp it down, pedals also have a fold out grip thingy me bob underneath u fold out to help it stick to the carpt, n hell does it stick! I cant move it even when im jumping on the pedals lol

cool, i'll have to look into the logitech.

Do all the steeringwheel sets that come with a gearstick have the stick on the right side of the wheel? as like U.S and europe where they drive on the right side of the road?

I would prefer one where you change gears with the left hand, like real life

I hit over 500km/hr today - (504km/hr to be exact :D) I dont think anyone has used this yet, but I got it with the Chapparell (spelling) I think it is the 2J racecar? Scary looking box thing, have a go, its f*kin fast! :)

my speed is without any gamesharks or anything like that. you just get the escudo, put full downforce on the back, and none on the front, give it the full turbo kit and lengthen the gears a bit. you accelerate up to about 400kmh then the front wheels start to lift off the ground and the speed goes through the roof.

yeah i got my speed without any real cheats...twas all settings being adjusted

I got around 7.6sec in the escudo 0-400m but the one i was most impressed with was my audi rs4 STATION WAGON pulling 8.777sec. That car has incredible pickup even if you don't launch it, it just goes. Easily one of my fastest 0-100km/h cars... i love it

i have the spec c wrx aswell and have recorded many 7.8sec pass's but my most impressive one was in the R34 GTR Mspec NUR at a 8.02 sec pass so close to a 7 sec pass its not funny but havent played it in ages!

    • Cleaner signal so timing is more accurate at all rpm also found it to start more on first rotation but could also be I've nailed prime and crank fuel. For under $400 and 30mins of your time, its a good solution especially once the optical sensor does start to play up you won't notice it until in higher rpm and it heat soaks.
    • On a 400hp RB, what benefits other than "it's not 30+ years old" are you seeing from the NZ Wiring Kit trigger setup? If it were me going to change triggering, my belief would be to go for a crank trigger to remove the issues caused by what people claim is belt stretch etc, but that's from my understanding a much larger issue for super high power, rather than those in the 400hp and below club.
    • The NZ wiring kit is a 1/3 the price and will be perfectly fine for your application, I've ran one for 6+ years and many others have. Comes as a full plug into factory connector and the settings for a Link. https://www.nzwiring.com/index.php/product/trigger-kit/ Always comes back to the tuners knowledge and experience with a tuning platform. It takes years to become proficient and learning all aspects and capabilities. I've been using Links for 16 years now (rb and sr paltforms) and always learning something new with adding tables, diagnostics and data logging. Stay 98 for the usability and keep it simple so you can enjoy the car more. With experience I'll give you a current example of the industry I am in. They use Motec m190 and only use VE tuning when they have a torque mapping available and would solve the "PARITY" issues that plagues the category all because the muppet doing the tuning doesn't understand the platform or want to learn it and the product seller have no idea on its full capabilities ( I had a good laugh as when firing up an older car that just got completed and they didn't understand the injector scaling or how to change it for different fuel being used)
    • I'm sure there are specific hygrometers for it. But if you can just throw a high enough ranged temp sensor (theromcouple that came with your DMM, for example) into a pot of it on the BBQ, you can see when it boils.
    • I have multiple bottles in a shed that gets hot, and I'm in SEQ, so it's humid. Maybe we test their theory... Anyone have a system to accurately measure moisture content in oil?
