Yeah cant say I'm a fan. looks budget drifter. IMO with all skylines, less is more (most of the time). I think a stock rear bar with type M skirts and a GTR Style bar looks really neat on a 32. And the carbon rear Diffusers can look really good also, especially with a big wing. stick a Delta style (z-tune style) bonnet on it (fibreglass versions are quite cheap) and it would look a bit neater and a bit more circuit spec!

well.. im not gonna gonna use the side skirts of the new kit or rear bar as yes, it makes it look spastic spec lol.

gtr front bar... eventually.. id only have it for eventual targa regs as with skirts and rear bar.

not a whole fan of the gtr look on a gtst as i mentioned before

bonnet i want is an AB style front bar. ( the one with 3 vents in the middle)

Front end repainted and refitted finally, car drives now, lots of little things to sort but 90% big stuff done. Mechanically just need to fit cooler and tune.

Anyone got a stock R33 GTS-T cooler? I need the pipes off the back of one so I can fit my 34 GT-T cooler up.

GTR is currently in the garage undergoing some minor upgrades.

Turbos coming off to be replaced with a pair of new GT2860R -5's with some Tomei Expreme Dumps.

ViPec ECU is in and was running well until I decided it was time for the turbos to go.

New Castor arms up front, camber and traction arms in the rear. Camber arms for the front are currently being fabricated.

While I am doing this figured I may as well throw in a new Gates timing belt kit along with an N1 Water Pump. (Yes it does see a lot of track work so its worth the extra)

So, looking forward to the Highclere Hillclimb on Feb 13th. Should be a good shakedown for it all.

Be good to see you back up here. Heard from Jamie the other day who let me know he cant make it now... Pity, but at least I get a free shot at beatin his time now. lol (like thats ever gonna happen)

engines in and running. fresh engine started first turn of the key. it did however run on 5 later found to be a faulty spark plug.

the throttles and a few tweaks to the head have made it use a different part of the map on the power fc so its off to the rollers for a base tune then run-in and back on the rollers for a power run. im very keen to see the difference. i havent changed to many things but hopefully just the right things.

what hill climb are you going to in Feb Funz and what date?

heading up to highclere again on feb 13th ish... just waiting for apps to be put on the site :-s

update for me: plan to cage the car soon and hopefully new pair of seats for it :-) so thats stage 1 of prepping car for targa :-P lots of stages to go lol

well, car has got some stuff done to it over last few days ;) new rear traction rods, rear tie rods, hicas bar in, adjustable castor rods and rear upper adjustable arms :-)

getting some fiddly things fixed up as well, and hopefully fine tune is done too :-)

just gotta organise things for when rollcage gets put in and hopefully can arrange a respray while car is stripped and windows are out :-) *cough* jack :-P

I just put similar stuff in mine.

Who's setting up your suspension now?

I just did a wheel alignment on mine after putting all new adjustable stuff in there and what a difference its made. Its actually drives out of corners now instead of wheel-spinning, which has the horrible effect of making it feel like its lost a heap of power.

Cant wait to get down south and get it tuned now. Its running that rich at the moment that the brand new plugs lasted ll of 80 klm before they fouled... :-(

well at this stage gonna get Bridgestone select to align it and adjust camber and stuff, then going to get goodyear prob with their new cool alignment rig to properly align it :-)

car will be getting light load tune as well and high rpm adjustment as still running a little rich !

Oh, just a little shop in Moonah. ;)

Heard nothin but good reports from people who have had their cars tuned there.

Only issue is he has to learn the software for my ECU, but he downloading it and sorting that so he has a feel for it before I get there.

I even emailed him a copy of the tune currently in it so he has a good starting point.

I heard of a 33 GTR that was tuned there last week, same turbos as mine, put out 460rwkw atw on 24psi.

There is another 33 GTR getting round Hobart as well apparently that put out 440rwkw, think hat was tuned at the same place also.

Thats enough to convince me... ;)

    • I have an Elite 2500, honestly most of this has been a lot of smaller tasks chasing little details and a whole lot of life getting in the way of bigger projects. I don't mind too much looking at a spectrograph vs having audio knock ears.
    • Nah nah nah nah. Don't do it. It's not all about the full throttle power delivery. The main "street fun" and drivability gains from smaller rear (in this case) is how you will have boost available from a low rpm when yo just roll onto the throttle. Think jinking in and out of traffic, coming out of roundabouts, etc etc, where you just want to roll onto the throttle a little and have the spooly noise from ~2000rpm and a swell of torque. More of what you've already achieved by going to 2.5. And then, towards the tail end of 2025 you can pull the turbo 4 out and put in a V8 like we originally suggested. :P
    • Cheers for the info mate, I'm old too, 60 years old next May, so a more linear delivery of the 0.86 would be better as baking tyres and snapping heads isn't on the cards for me or the car I assume a more linear power delivery would be better for engine and drivetrain reliability as well, IRT the torque load at lower RPM???, as well as lower EGT's???, if my understanding of that is correct, have I got that right??? I've only got a really basic understanding of turbo sizing and all there characteristics  Cheers for the useful information
    • What kind of power delivery are you after? If it's nice and linear, the 0.86 would be better. If you're after bake tyres and head snaps on boost the 0.64 would be fun. I'm boring and old, so linear power is preferred. Lately I've been watching videos on Z06 Corvettes and super charged Mustangs....
    • I’d go the smaller rear just because you’re staying on 98, if e85 I’d go the bigger one
