Continued with operation tidy up wiring in the 32 today and DAMN those little Japanese buggers like there scotch locks :(

I've seen some major birds nests in the past but some of this was just shocking eg: wiring changes colour 3 or 4 times where joins have been made, splicing power from one area for 10 different wires and taped together :glare:

All i can say is that there is no way i could ever be an auto sparky if thats what they deal with all day

Got my rear brake lines back on with new fittings so hopefully will solve the fluid leaks.

Its slowly coming together again and with summer fast approaching i have found the motivation to get off my arse and get things done.

My new clutch arrived today :) , just got to get the old one out and see if it's damaged the flywheel.

And my sump baffle and suspention parts should be leaving Japan on the 7th of Nov :(

Any luck sorting the box out yet Ben???

Yep, took the box in and the synchros are being re-raced, and the bearings are getting replaced, the flywheel isn't damaged, it's just got acouple of waves through it, light machine will fix it. And the clutch that was in the car was a stock Nissan one, manged to get ~5 track days and 9 months of crusing around in it at 311rwkw.

My other stuff hasn't left Japan yet, nengun says it should be today :D

Glad to hear it, i was reading your thread about wanting to freshen up the box only to find out the costs thanks to Nissan's wisdom :P

did a major service, all belts bearing, fluids ect, $400 leter. Also installed and adjustable cam gear, retuned teh car myself a bit, but still have some issues. Car goes like stink, hates the warm weather though. LOL.

Oh well, also no longer a bike owner, sold my wreck.

:D your missing the part about buying a new bike hence selling the old...

Broken studs removed yesterday and threads cleaned up so can put manifold back on, now the search begins for a auto sparky to come to my place to sort a few things out whilst helping me finish the beer in the fridge :)

Finally replaced my exhaust studs on friday(had been waiting on getting the car back from having them drilled out and a few had broken). all fresh studs now and gaskets. ready to race on saturday. took it for a long run down to hobart and back on the weekend.

hoooooooooooray I drive my car home tonight. After 2 months i've got the diff and gearbox rebuilt, put in adjustible upper arms and caster rods, and put a tomie baffle in the sump. The engine was sitting upside down on the engine stand for a month and a half, so when i finnaly started it, it was only running on 4 - 5 cylinders, and blowing heaps of smoke, all cleared now though :whistling:.

Wheel alignment tomorrow, currently running about -4 deg camber as a just put the upperarms as short as they will go (looks cool), even with my dodgy settings it turns in and powers out heaps better.

thats grate news ben. ill finaly be able to start pestering you for a ride.

well news for me is all i need is a turbo and ill have my rb25de+t. still deciding what the wepon of choice will be but im thinking a stocko 25 item will do to get it all running and sorted.

have a merry xmas and hohoho all day long.

Well I was heading down the Greens Beach on friday night, and Skippy the motherf**king bush kangaroo jumped out onfront of me while I was doing 100k, didn't even get a chance to hit the brakes. I'm now ordering a new intercooler. But I can sleep easy knowing that I killed him. I now know to drive the bit of road between kelso and greens beach at 80k at night now.

Going really good, except it has a mystery top-end-of-motor rattle. Its like a lifter rattle but really loud and "clacky"...AND disappears under load - but its there on light load/coasting and free revving. F#cks me what it is!

topped off with some nismo 4 foot areial it will complete the rural GTR look i am after

that sucks pretty big balls. anything elce broken that you have found?

my car is waiting on parts at the moment. i have plenty to do but like most jig saw puzzles you need to start with the big bits and work your way in.

na, he just hit square in the intercooler. I blocked off round the hold with plyers to get it home, the rest of it is fine.

The Nismo areial gives it a real good look, also ordering a HKS bullbar, and a set of Tomie spot lights :P

Finally got my car back on the road this morning after having it stored down at work waiting for parts for it for a week. sheered off the front wheel driving along the highway near the port sorell turn off. the guy that changed my tires over didn't seem to do the wheel nuts up tight. still need to get all the bodywork fixed and painted and the rim fixed.
