I think the GenIII swap is an excellent idea from a performance point of view. it is lighter and more compact than the RB, in particular it is shorter, so it should give better weight distrobution than the stock RB. The massive capacity should give rise to better drivability than an equivalent RB engine, particularly if there is forced induction involved. There is a group of RX-7 owners in the US who have been doing the Chev V8 swap for ages. Apparently it is almost the same weight as the original 13B (due to the heavy twin turbos rather than the weight of the tiny rotary engine itself), and gives far more torque than the standard 13B. Wack a blower between the cylinder banks and you've got one crazy fast car.

On second thoughts, no, that is just stupid. Kill it. :(
