Well first of all you could find a few guys with different turbos, get their advice, then line them all up against your "GTR" and compare! :lol:

hmmm maybe a standard turbo of an e15 bet it would spool fast

GT28-RS has a very fast spool time. Is well known for it anyway.

Maybe one of those motorbike turbos?

The smaller, the faster they will spool... which is why the sequential turbo system was created... like in Supra's.

BUT! If you want a decent sized turbo that spools quickly, I think these guys can tell you what makes a turbo spool faster...

*Ball-bearing design... less resistance than the stock R33 turbo.

*Lighter compressor wheel (plastic)... will spin more freely. R33's are ceramic

*Larger steel exhaust wheel... people put bigger wheels in when rebuilding.

*Larger outlet flange... less restrictive

*Other high-flow mods.

Compressor wheels I think are aluminium or steel on most R33s..newer R33 series 2 are plastic. Its the exhaust wheel that is ceramic.
