Rb20 Base Timing

hey all

quick question about timing and PFC'S

im pretty sure rb20 base timing would be 8deg?

on my PFC handcontroller at idle its sitting on 15deg? would i take that as my base timing figure? os do have to get the timing light out

coz it knocking and has been for ages up to 100knock :boxing: readings out the controller

thinking if 15 is my real base timing i can afford to kmnock a couple a degrees out and save my motor abit of the punishment its coping now

15 degrees is the normal base.

Just because the PFC says it's at 15 doesn't mean it is actually 15. You should get out the timing light and confirm the idle / base timing is 15 BTDC
