Boost Creeping At High Rpm!

hey guys, the other day i fitted a hybrid GT intercooler on my skyline and i have stock boost 7psi but for some reason the boost goes to 10psi now, why is this hapening and also this happens at high rpms like around 5-6 thou does anyone have this problem or know what is happening?? i also dont have an aftermarket computer only a fuel pump and an exaust.

You allowing more airflow as the FMIC is larger and holds more air? I may be wrong. But boost is usually higher after FMIC install.

It will be because your car is suddenly breathing much better. Nothing much to worry about i think everyone that has installed a new intercooler and has some sort of exhaust has experience the same increase in boost.

um no actually u have a dual stage actuator...

its mean to step up from 7psi to 10psi during the rev range...

Ok now im confused!!!

In another thread detailing how to 'bypass' the solenoid i asked the question:

"If you put an exhaust, FMIC etc would the solenoid restrict it from 'automatically' gaining that extra couple pounds of boost?...hence will the other 'bypass' still apply?"

No-one seems to be able to answer this yet!!!!

Fmic with a stock exhaust??

found that the problem was a little metal restricter in the lines of the vaccum pressure near the boost controler now she runs better....
