man! They are bloody bright! trust me, u won't be needing the highbeam much! but R32 are h4's? are u 100% sure? Cause i've got some vague suspicion they arn't. Anyway, If u want bright, 6000k is 2800lm (roughly) 4700/5000 are 3200lm. If i remember 8000k is less than 2800lm. A standard output of a halogen is 1000lm if i remember correctly. A good example would be lookin at the bmw, merc and stuff. Check the links i posted, they have comparison charts.

Cheers!

yep ..but for h4 ..the hid i found use the small motor or something just move the globe to different position for low beam or high beam..so it wouldn't have the problem that h4 doesn't have high beam hid.

Cool! Set me up for 1 for sure! When do u estimate we'll order it?

Oh yeah, regarding the h4, as bankids said, it's a motor that retracts and extends for high beam and low beam. They are usually called bixenons... that's why h4's usually cost a little bit more. Wherelse for h1,h3 etc, they are single fillaments and they rely on another bulb for the highbeam, like the r33s

oh yeah, 1 more thing, just to note for future buyers, if the kit dosn't supply you with a 15A fuse, do get one for proper usage. A normal headlight is 5A fuse if i'm not wrong. =X

that's the thing confused me alot, coz in everywhere ppl said hid have lower power consumption. normally halogen is 55w but hid is 35w.

but while i installed the hid into my audi a4 burnt my fuse which was 10a, later i put a 15a into the fuse box and everything seems alright now..

i recommend everyone spend the $200 and get some HID's.

i bought some for my car, cost me $400, best money spent on it, improves night vision so much, well worth it for only $200.

Yo! Diamond White is usually 6000k. When it's quite blueish it's 8000k, then 10000k dark blueish and 12000k is purplish. Daytime white is 4700k to 5300k that's what normal OEM hids come with. But they are the otimal. usually rated at 3200lm. 6000k is 2800lms. But, 2800lm is way more than the standard of about 1000lm. :) hahaha. HID's for a price of $200 is bloody well worth it man.

what is the best possible headlight xenon conversion on the market? i want something very clear , and you can get blue lense also?

h7 or something?

please tell me, i need it for S15

Best possible? You'd be lookin at Hella Ballasts, and philips/osram bulb/globes. Will set u back by a cool 1k. But no one will be able to tell the difference untill u actually show them it's philips and hellas, cause the standard these days are so universal and common that you're looking only at reliability.

Heck, you can buy 5 sets of these for the same price! Nothing gets clearer than HIDs. The bluish tint is not the lense, if u're lookin at lenses, and they tell u it's hid, you're prolly gonna get ripped off cause they are halogen "xenon" convertion where they use relays to pump the wattage to 110W and u get brighter lights. Then they use a cover to cover the bulb to give it the bluish/whitish look. The real xenons are what is being sold on the forum. With a slight bluish tinge, but mostly white, it's 6000k. More bluish is 8000k but a little bit darker, there's a trade off, then it becomes bluish purple 10000k, then purple 12000k.

S15 uses projectors, so look for the projector headblubs, but these days there are universal ones. Rated as D2C. I know there are sellers whom sell the wrong kinda bulb so as to clear their stock. EG: my friend bought projector bulbs for his MR-S. Thou using Philips and Hellas, his car is relatively low, but when i was driving my rav4 back home, i still feel the glare when in front of him. Which got him fined in the end, he had to buy another set of globes for SGD$250 just to be right. LoL. Oh wells.

Come on dude, join this group buy. I'm pretty anxious to get a set here for my r33 so, need to meet the 10 pple quota =E . They are one of the best investment u can make for ur car, esp when driving in dark places, you can see, literally, EVERYTHING.
