Anyone Here From Hongkong?

Hi, just wondering if anyone here is from HongKong or know places in HK.

Planning to go to HK early next year and thinking of buying few parts such as Power FC or Apexi SAFC2, gauges, etc.

Where in HongKong is the best place to buy these things? I went there early this year and bought some stuff from Mongkok area. Although they are cheaper than here, they are not that cheap as people generally describe it. Also, couldn't find some serious stuff like aftermarket ECU, etc there.

Also, what area and what day can I see some illegal street race there?

Hey mate, I went to hong kong this year. Tis a bit tricky getting speciality parts like that. The only place is the northern end of Mong Kok that I could find, i'm sure there's better but that's a good place to start. Also they don't really drive nissan turbos there, lots of toyota and honda so it can be a real challenge getting anything nissan, that said there are some nuts GTRs too.

There is a hong kong skyline forum which you could ask on but I seem to have lost the URL (I left it on a PC in HK actually ).

there are a few rice stores in mong kok on the street next to "sai yeung choi street".. near the shoe stores

but for actual "mods", you need to travel a bit further to yeun long etc

i second what ecl is saying... Mong Kok is only for toys and gadgets; nothing serious. If you want real parts then hehe good luck! Seriosuly, there aren't that many car enthusiasts over there who are into modifying cars like us (big power i mean)

im from there, u dont need to go as far as yuen long to get performance parts, but the prices there might be a bit cheaper and theres more possibility they'll have stock. theres a street in mong kok, near the basketball/soccer courts that have performance parts. shops like crazy racing, and all that are there.

if they dont have stock they can ususally get what ure after within 2 days, so go there in the early parts of your stay.
