Is there any way of limiting how wide the page is?

I noticed that a few people have picys in there title that make the page really wide and it's a pain in the ringhole to keep scrolling accross (can you tell I'm bored and half pissed ).

Ussualy (speking - not my fualt, my fingers are drunk) 800x600, but I turned it upto 1024x768 and the problem is still there.
