i went with CF bonnet, need somethin to stand apart from a similar skyline getting around in the same area, thus why i was thinking the doors..

unless you were driving around with them open, i dont think the other guy would know you have them

cool... save some weight

Is it full CF or CF finish?

It wont be 100% CF, it'll be an imitation with just a top layer and fibreglass underneath.

everything is illegal in melbourne these days

Most can be made legal however, CF from my understanding can never be

Not true Ash. CF needs a layer of kevlar through it to create a crumple effect and prevent the large elements coming apart in slabs, thereby becoming a greater threat in pedestrian accidents.

They also need certification to state compliance with ADR's and indented stamping to that effect. At this time I am not aware of any manufacturers complying.

WOLF 3D HAHAHAHAHAH .. Tell me your joking right.. POWER FC.. OR a motec ecu.. Both top of the range ecu for your car cant go wrong. I reckon ecu.. dw about the doors unless you are wanting a show car

PEACEEE

What experience have you had with the Wolf? I've had mine for 3yrs and have had no real issues with it and I know of others with the same result. You are probably one of those clowns that regurgitate what others have said because the tuner was hopeless.

My mechanic has become quite proficient with the Wolf 3D and has extracted as much power, if not more, out of an engine as one would with a PowerFC, and yet keep the engine safe. Unfortunately there are some tuners out there that can only tune one type of ecu, and have the audacity to label all others as shit. So you continue to be sheep and join your flock, but don't talk down a brand without an explanation why you have such views. :D

I'm contemplating them, purely for wank factor. no other reason except that I like the look of them :)

As far as i've talked to my engineer and experienced, lambo (or scissor doors) are legal provided you haven't altered the crticial structure of the car. As for practicality; i find them easier to use than normal doors for getting into and out of the car (i'm a pretty big guy as well mind you) especially in tight spaces.

The only downside is that they cost a fortune to buy and install.

(Sidenote: they are called SCISSOR DOORS not GULLWING; gullwing hinge up at the top a la the DeLorean from "Back to The Future"...dunno how people get them confused :))
