after having a long read through this very informative discussion i decided i would seek the help of this group to help me decide a fitment as i want to get it right as i need to order wheels.

1999 S2 260RS wheel fittment.

size 20x8.5 or 9.0 ?

offset i need help with any sugesstions ? i can order the wheels in any offset i want but i want a fairly even flush look that wont scrub

tyres size 245/30/20

does anyone have a set similar to the above please comment also about how they look.

thanks

I run 19x9.5 +12 with 245/35/19

Go at least 9 inch wide, not 8.5

No rear guard rolling needed. It is tight with 5mm clearance to rear guard and 10mm to rear shocks with 245's

Make sure rims are "A" type at front to clear brembo's.

Type A or Disk A refers to the caliper clearance.

I do not think it is a industry standard, but most Jap brand wheels quote it

Rule of thumb is A suit big calipers like Brembo, B type will suit GTST calipers and Type C will normally only work on the rear with small calipers

It also depends on the shape of the spoke.

I run 19x9.5 + 12 in a type B front and rear and have r34 GTT calipers. My rims only have 1-2mm clearance to calipers. I would not fit brembo's

If they were type A there would be approx 10mm clearance to the calipers. The Type A will also effect the amount of dish/outer rim you see.

Type B will have more dish/outer rim

The main thing to remember is, rim width and offset are not the only thing to consider. Make sure to consider the caliper clearance as well esp on a 260RS

What wheels are you considering buying?

Also find yourself on online wheel calculator

That way you can put in either your stock wheel sizes or mine and compare to the ones you want to buy

The calculator will tell you the increase or decrease of both the inner and outer dimension changes

try this one

Can anyone shed some information and tell me if something like this will fit on a RS4-V auto.

Many thanks

Joe

Sorry, yeah she is an auto.....

I shall start looking at my options then. Around $4k to spend including rubber.

If you have 4 k to spend you should look at getting your rims via Jesse Streeter. I got him to order some Work xsa for me, they custom make them to order at the sizes you want. Mine in 18" cost under $2200 delivered and they are a 2 piece wheel. Then just over 1k for a set of kumho ku31's. O ly problem is waiting near 12 weeks for the wheels but worth it IMO.

no problems running staggered as long as the tyres are EXACTLY the same

offsets sound a tad ghey

i think for rs4s use r33 gtr specs

something like 18x9+12 or 18x9.5+15

www.willtheyfit.com, measure up your current clearances (plumb bob and ruler to see how much inside the guards they are now) chuck in your current wheel specs and play around with offsets till you get something you like

Fitted these up last night.

After initial dry fitup concerns they fit sweet, thanks darrinspencer and everyone else for convincing me 19*9.5 +12 will fit a manual.

Its still quite high, but being my daily I dont want to increase camber just for the low yet and kill my tyre life.

My phone camera (and my location choice) is sucking at taking photos of black rims with any detail...

what kit is that?

what kit is that?

Its all as I got it so I'm not 100%.

I assume the car was originally a Dayz edition as the rear lip and spolier is as per dayz.

The front bar and skirts are series 2 RS260 as far as I know.

My wife calls it the underbite.

I run 19x9.5+12 all round with a 25mm spacers on rear and 245/35/19 rubber heaps of clearance with camber and rolled guards, I could go up to a 255 with out issues but a 265 would propably scrub the suspension.

Or

18x9+30 all round with 25mm spacers with and 265/35/18 these only just clear the suspension on the rear but have heaps of clearance on the front.

PS the ride with 19s is shit house, I can only imagine 20s would be crap.

19inch Volk GTC's in silver.

pcd 114.3

Front 19x8.5 + 30 face 2

Rears 19x9.5 + 24 face 2
