GTR260
put some new wheels on the 260 today, decided i was getting bored with the 18x8.5 bbs wheels so replaced them with Rota Fighters supplied by option 1 garage, 18x9.5 +20. next step will be to fit some coilovers and adjustable arms. sorry bout the iphone pics. the new wheels The old BBS The service form O1G was excellent, They had some brand new genuine Dayz carbon inserts for around the ac vents there if anyone is looking for them! Nadnerb
In terms of 'being legal' and meeting VSI, is fitting 245/40/18 on 18x8.5 on a s2 c34 auto okay? Depends entirely on offset wheel poke and track change wise Google tire size calculator or go to WWW.willtheyfit.com and chuck in your stock size But probably yes but maybe a 235/40 will be closer Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/92233-stagea-wheel-dimensions/page/26/#findComment-6496289 Share on other sites
Nadnerb
Thanks, Also found this http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/vehicle_regulation/bulletin/pdf/NCOP11_Section_LS_Tyres_Suspension_Steering_V2_1Jan_2011%20v3.pdf page 20+ refers to some legal fitment condtions. Looks like i am good with my size. I just like to know sure for insurance purposes, incase they say, those tyres arnt legal, ur car isnt road worthy, no money for you. Does that ever happen? Insurance claim denied because of unroadworthy vechile from mods like wheels? floody
Looking at upping tyre size on ours (along with a few other things), reckon 18x9 +20 with 265/35R18s will work under an S1 stag, without flaring? Can lip guards, happy to fit camber arms etc if need be. Zorro
Floody Im running 18x9.5 +14 on my s1, with 255/35 going to 265/35 soon. I had to roll the crap out of my guards (mainly the rear though)! If that heaps you at all! Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/92233-stagea-wheel-dimensions/page/26/#findComment-6500768 Share on other sites

Daleo
Another option is 245/45/18. This is OEM VE Crummydore size, and not too expensive. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/92233-stagea-wheel-dimensions/page/26/#findComment-6500794 Share on other sites
Zorro
Daleo, overall diameter would be a bit off on a c34 though. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/92233-stagea-wheel-dimensions/page/26/#findComment-6500800 Share on other sites

floody
Have 235/40R18 now so 245s are barely worth changing to. I do suspect I would notice the increase in front end grip with 265s. Thanks Zorro, sounds like it will be a pretty safe option as I should have 10mm or so more clearance to the guard. Zorro
Yeah you will notice the extra grip for sure! Also watch the rear clearance from the coilover leg & platform, mine is really close! S T A R 3 3
may sound like a stupid question, but will there be movement of the coilover itself and perch towards the tyre whilst driving? pipster11
Yeah should be pretty good I think the flush figment for an Rs4s is 9.5 +12 so you wouldn't be far off there Go back a few pages to see some examples as there were some recently It will be the same figment as an 260rs too I think Edited September 21, 2012 by pipster11 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/92233-stagea-wheel-dimensions/page/26/#findComment-6544281 Share on other sites
