Apexi Power Fc Japanese Software

A friend has recently bought the legit Power FC software and dongle from either Nengun or Whiteline in Japan, I can't remember which. There was a thread either here, or on one of the other Skyline sites, ages ago, documenting some "tricks" to getting it to load, when a hooky version was being touted about. I succeeded in loading it, by, I think, using some jap characters in the directory name. However, a lot of the menus have random characters in them. If I were to buy the legit version does anyone know if this can be worked around? My friend has not even succeeded in loading his copy yet. Anyone got to grips with this yet? Thanks!

I haven't myself used the japanese software nor can I offer any comments or help etc but when you do work it can you send me a PM and possibly some screen shots so I can add them to the PowerFC FAQ?
