i'm just wondering where the evidence to back power/weight is for "imports" besides the R32 GTR?

it's the only "import" listed at vic roads, cos it was the only one sold locally.

^^^^ thats very true

actually a mate of mine has a twin turbo soarer and said he has gotten away with it many times

he muttered something about it being a japanese import and something or rather

i never belived him.. but i never noticed this until you pointed it out

Pettett is a weak prick....i tried playing mr nice guy but that didnt work so then i started getting full smart right to his face.......the look on his face was so funny i dont think many people tell him to go f**k himself! Big deal $110 fine.......i dont think its within their jurisdiction to not let me drive the car after the fine. f**k him next time i'm driving off right infront of him and we'll see what happens. If i did the wrong thing then i'll pay the price, and if pettett's in the wrong i'll make sure my lawyer Mr Zolis will take care of him....also i'll make sure that the ombudsman, his commanding officer and any other party that may find it remotely interesting will be notified.

yeah petit knows he's stuff.. I know when i was driving my R33 i got done a few times for power to weight ratio and when i got defected another time the police officer told me next he'll take my car off me.. wasn't speeding or nething.. Jest be careful man, its the law u cant change it and dont try to find loop holes in it!

But with that said, the ONLY time they can take ur car off you is if u are commiting a serious traffic offence, like burnouts with people around.. Smokey on nissansilvia cleared this law up.. have a read its in the VIC section..

Do what i did, sell ur R33 and get an S15 lol!

good luck and dont drive through knox!!

hi

Technically you cant drive the car after he has booked you as you are still breaking the law. he could arrest you as a police officer can arrest to stop the same offence being recommitted. If he told me not to drive it i wouldnt test him out.

Think of it this way, if you were caught drink driving and charged you cant just get the car afterwards and drive home.

my 2 cents worth anyway

    • I would not be surprised if you are the only person on earth that has the interest/desire to do that lol.  The Haltech base map is a really good starting point, the car will fire easily and drive very well, even on mild boost levels. To me, following your advice sounds like some sort of ancient Chinese water torcher lol (this is not an insult Josh, never change <3)
    • Those car show concepts from the 2000's and 2010's like the Floria and IDx were brilliant and should've gone ahead, at least one of them. But neither Honda nor Nissan are thinking about affordable performance any more, which is truly sad.  Even if Toyota's liquid hydrogen ICE development reaches the point where it's commercially viable and the infrastructure to support it, Honda/Nissan would have to wait until Toyota allow fee access to their patents to offer it with any smaller performance models they released to take advantage of it.
    • A sporty manual RWD coupe with a IL4 Honda engine would only be a good thing I assume we won't see anything released for a few years though, unless informal talks and designs have been going on for a few years,  and due to the current, and future, emmisions and safety requirements, I assume anything "sporty" they would do would be at least some hybrid thingie And hopefully anything they are thinking of has nice lines, without lots of plastic and fake bits hanging off it like that horrendous FK8 that looked like it was designed by a 13 year old The other issue of course in the current market is cost, currently the type R is around $70k, a twin is around $50k Meh, I'm old and grumpy and would rather buy a older model car and waste my coin on that than buying anything currently available new
