The RB25DET Neo has infinitely variable VVT, unlike the RBDET non Neo which is a simple on or off. So the ECU's (inc PFC) are quite different, and the ECU pinouts (plugs) are also very different.

The easiest way (that I have found) is to use all of the parts from the same model that means sensors, harness and ECU. So you could use all R34GTT parts, just check for prices, they aren't cheap. The cheaper alternative wouldbe to use all of your current R32GTST parts. This would mean no VVT, but it would be the easiest/cheapest.

:D cheers :)

When we were doing my Neo conversion we noticed that the wiring looms between the R33 and R34 motors are really quite different.

I'd be biting the bullet and using the loom as well. If you're going to go as far as buying a new motor with the purpose of doing an engine conversion then to give yourself as little hassle as possible you really should be using the loom for that motor as well.

I put one into an R33, using an R33 loom and ecu.

The changes I needed to make were as follows:

1. CAS wiring is backwards - a simple cut and solder will work here;

2. Use an R33 throttle body to save on changing wiring there;

3. Change the plugs on the VVT and idle control valves to suit.

It'll work fine this way and you could use a R33 loom and PFC, you just wouldn't have the "infinitely" variable VVT, but the on/off system that the R33 has.

Definitely a worthwhile conversion over using an R33 RB25DET as the power delivery seems so much better - well to me anyway.

the one im getting has gearbox, motor, new turbo, gearbox yoke, computer and wiring loom ect ect just not the actual halfcut

will i have this problem 2 or wat other problems will i discover
