From experienced track guys.... What pads are you using? what have you tried?

Building a R32 M spec for Tarmac rallys... Will have std or dba rotors.

Looking at EBC, endless, and Steve has mentioned Ferodo.

Have to run M spec/GT-R calipers as must use std 16'' wheeels

Look forward to input

Ciao :)

I'm using RaceBrakes RB25 (similar to RB74) and they are not too bad. They dont' fit in the caliper properly though so they clunk a little bit, smell like fish (literally) and squeal but they do the job alright.

I just got some endless pads so I'll see how they go. I dont' see how you can go wrong with Endless though. They're one of the most popular pads in Japan.

I had Race Brake RB74 pads and DBA slotted rotors on my old car, an E30 3 series BMW. Brake performace was awesome, it would stand on its nose stop after stop. Noisy as hell though, gratey from cold and generally a bastard of a brake pad, but stopped well.

Am going to do the same setup on my R33 in the next 2 weeks. Standard R33 GTS-t pads and discs are s*it.

EBC green stuff are hopeless for the track. Don't like the feel, feels very dull and doesn't pull up well. I had Endless NA-M and also same thing, but worse cause of more $ I paid for it.

RB74's are great. Takes a very long time to make them fade and their cheap too. Very good initial bite, gives you very good confidence in your brakes.

However the best I've used are Comp 9's from Racebrakes. Same as RB74's, but can take more punishment (no fade what so ever after 4 or 5 punishing laps at Eastern Creek) and bite more. However they didn't last as long as the RB74's, and made more noise. Also harder on rotors. But I don't think you'd care too much as performance counts. :P

why pay 400 as set of pad

just get kentex cost about 80

ive used green stuff, ultimate yad yad yad

i go through above pads 6 times a year

the kentex cost under 80 bux and r just as good

and you can have 5 sets for the price of a fredo frog im mean ferodo

unless you have a race car your engine oil will over heat before the kentex do

just here to same you money

(there is a certain big company that sells kentex as a diffrent brand for 300 a set)

im using KENTEK metal pads on my 33

they squeal like a pig when cold but man do they stop when asked to

i have never had them fade on me even from 170 kmh stops only down side is the work the rotors a little bit but they only cost about $100 a set so lets you ssave up for better rotors

dba are releasing ther 4000 series rotors for the gts next month

thats the ones i will be getting

I run RB74 with 330mm discs (Not DBA) all from RaceBrakes. Cant fault them, they are the only good thing about my car. But forget the discs as they wont fit in 16" rims, the RB74s still worked a treat on my std rotors

Mind you my car is a bit of a vague on the straight ahead so im probably not working them as hard as some others, plust 32 GTST are the lightest of the bunch
