hi, just wondering if anyone has done this, putting a GTST/GTS4 steering wheel into a 89 Ti R31 sedan? I already have a steering wheel but am wondering if I need a boss kit fo r it?

I know I could just rip the old one off and try it but would rather do it once and have all the bits I need when I do it.

any help would be great

Stephen

I had an R32 GTR wheel in my 89 R31 Exec. the indicators didn't cancel themselves - that may have just been because the stupid plastic bits had worn down - I can't remember now. But it never bothered me because the same thing had happened to the standard wheel anyway, so I was used to cancelling the indicators myself.

The indicators never cancel in my r31 which has an aftermarket steering wheel. But my mates r31 with a standard steering wheel never cancelled either so I assumed it was an r31 thing. But anyway you get used to it.

Just try putting it on. It will only take less than 5 mins to find out if its gunna fit or not. If it doesn't then you need a boss kit of some sort.

cause that a gt passage which is high jap quality

the other ones are crappy aussie quality and everything breaks or falls apart of gets damaged really bad by the sun

therefore the indicators dont cancel by themselves

every r31 i have been in has not had the indicators cancel by themselves

every r31 i have been in has not had the indicators cancel by themselves

Don't blame the cars... blame the owners. :P

We've got 3 R31's in the driveway, 2 of them have aftermarket steering wheels, and the indicators work as they should in all 3.

My memory isn't the greatest but I seem to recall looking at a 32 wheel and deciding it wouldn't work at all with my existing indicator switches. Have you guys used the 32 switches, I thought the wiring plugs didn't go together. What is involved? I'm still usin my standard wheel, still about 1-2 notches on the spline crooked from when I put it back on, damn I'm lazy...
