OK we put a front mount intercooler on the car, the only areas to be interfered with were the airbox, AFM and piping that had to be removed.

After installation the car decided to idle at 1500rpm, it was showing no error codes on the ECU, adjustment of the idle control valve could only drop it down to 1200rpm.

ECU reset didn't help either.

Any ideas what could possibly be wrong?

That's what we came down to, a vacuum leak, may have just been coincidental that it occured when we were fitting the IC.

We basically didn't disconnect anything but the IC + plumbing...will check out all the vacuum hose to see if anything got knocked.

Good luck Dan. Hope its not too much drama.

Im currently doing my fmic install to the Stagea this week, probably wont do the shocks that I got from you until xmas though.

Hope you find the leak all ok.... to get around that, Im using hi-temp silicone adhesive and 4 x clamps per join over the rubber tubes.

Sticking the pipes to the rubber tubes, and then adding the adhesive to the outside of the rubber tubes as well, along the join. Just hope it works all ok.

OK found the problem...yes it was completely unrelated to the I/C fitting, just a coincidence.

The valve controlled by the stepper motor had seized with carbon and grease..meaning no idle control at rest or in gear. I got to it quickly enough so it appears the stepper motor wasn't damaged. All works fine again.
