just for general knowledge my power steering pump was leaking and i had an extra pump from the ca18det engine, i got it to work, all you need to do is change the brackets, that is, use back you brackets from the rb 20 pump. the pump works fine no problems. by the way its the stock rb20e engine in the cefiro, not sure if it would work with othe rb engines

thought i should post this here also for reference:

Ok i think i have figured the Transmission Mount formula, with the knowledge i have put together from two AT to MT R32 swaps, one AT to MT S13 swap, and one MT RB to MT SR mission swap.

ok heres what we have to start....

TOP: S13 SR mount for a factory MT car

MIDDLE: RB MT Mount for a car that is factory MT (not converted)

BOTTOM: SR custom MT mount made for a Cefiro that came factory with a AT

note: these are all facing the correct way

so i have determined....

R32: for a R32 RB20 factory AT to be converted to a MT you need the S13 MT Mount to install (TOP)

A31: Same for a A31 RB20 factory AT to be converted to a MT you need the S13 MT Mount to install (TOP)

A31, R32: For a factory RB20 AT car to be converted to a SR20 MT you will need a custom mount (BOTTOM) and the S13/S14 Engine Mount also.

A31, R32: for a factory RB20 MT car (like mine) to be converted to a SR20 MT you will need the S13 MT mount (TOP) and S13/S14 Engine Mount also. oh and the 130cm S-Car drive shaft (measured from tranny end to diff tip)

Example of the (BOTTOM) custom mount where the (TOP) S13 Mount should be, maybe can get two holes to line up if i didn't have the Uras Urethane-Mount installed...

in think that covers what i know so far...

this is in regard to the z32 calipers on r33 na gts 4 stud discs.

z32 alloy calipers came out for 26 mm thick discs and 30mm discs. there were also z32 steel calipers that were 30mm.

now for this fairly simple upgrade to work u will need the 26mm calipers not the 30 mm ones.

Rear subframe?

They fit, (I have an S13 rear subframe in mine), but the handbrake setup on the hubs is different, requiring either custom handbrake cables or installation of cefiro/skyline hubs. Why anyone would install an S13 rear subframe is beyond me.

Parts for 5stud conversion and r33 gtst brake upgrade

Brake Master Cylinder BM44 off r32 gtst skyline

s14 front hubs and Lower control arms

front r33 gtst calipers and discs

Rear r33 hubs and discs and calipers.

Swap the a31 handbrake cable over in the hubs as the r33 is too long. The handbrake drum setup are exactly the same.

also look at getting new brake lines from the arch to the caliper all round as the r33 ones work but dont hook up to things the same way as the originals so will wear alot more.

and 5 stud wheels

The rear hub uprights (aka hub carrier... the solid cast iron thing which the control/toe arms bolt to) are identical to S13 (and I would assume R32).

You may be thinking what use would that have, well I had enough trouble finding a pair of rear cefiro hubs complete with calipers/discs/handbrake assembly then it turns out that the upright was bent, so then I had to try sourcing an individual cefiro rear left hub upright.

This also means it is possible to do skyline rear brake upgrade to S13 and stay 4 stud (for those people who prefer to remain 4 stud).

They're different to an R32...

Alternator Belt: 4PK860

Powersteering without Aircon: 4PK925

Powersteering with Aircon: 3PK845

Those are Gates belt codes, you might need to check if other manufacturers use the same code.

Just checked... Optibelt's Alternator Belt code is 4PK858, Goodyear's is 4PK0863, Dayco's (Pirelli) is 4PK862, and Quinton Hazell's is QBR4863.

Enjoy
