im up for a new clutch and want to know the best options avaliable.i dont want to spend more than $700 including labour.Probably go to justjap for installation.

no ceramic/triple plate/brass button madness!

whatever is in mine now has a really hard pedal feel which sucks as mine is a daily drive,any suggestions?

Extreme clutch option is probably a good idea for a good clutch on a budget - i run one in my R32 single plate heavy duty, the clutch pedal is kinda heavy but in everyday traffic my leg got used to it after a week or so. Not bad performance either. Exedy or OS giken are great, but more expensive. So for $700 you probly cant go past an extreme clutch

Daiken/Exedy Heavy duty clutch - ive got one and it works great. I think the parts no is NSK7056HD

Should easily be able to get one and get it put in with the flywheel machined for less than $700

Don't know of any reputable businesses down south.

Definately machine the flywheel every time. Only costs $30-$40 and will ensure a flat surface for the new material to bed into.

Also, I was fitting the Excedy clutches (40% heavier duty than standard) in 32's, 33's and 34's for $600 neat so you should have no problems with a budget of $700.

It is a 4 hour job plus the cost of the clutch and machine.

It is also a good idea to replace the spigot bush while you are there. Soak the spigot bush in oil for 24 hours prior to fitting. This will ensure that it is lubricated for the rest of its life and not just 5 minutes. Check the rear main seal for leaks but only replace if it looks like it has been weeping or the rubber is hard/brittle.

thanks for your advice.the spigot bush...is that what makes the annoying sound,or is it the thrust release bearing?.i remember reading that you need to replace two bush/bearings to get rid of it.

will i need to order them from nissan or can you suggest another brand?

They both can make an annoying noise. the Spigot will make a noise in 1st and REVERSE only and just before the clutch engages to the flywheel. The throwout bearing will make a noise in neutral until you put your foot on the clutch pedal or if it is seized it will make a high pitched screech ONLY when you put your foot ON the clutch pedal.
