For those that missed on the first round I will be organising another paintball outing for the 19th of November afternoon. Fee is the same as before $20 gets you paintball "marker", overalls, hire of the field,BBQ afterwards and safety gear except for balls "box" (who would want to wear somones second hand one....ewwww). $80 will get you a bag of 500 paintballs. although smaller bags are available.

I will finalise numbers at the end of next week and pay the deposit on the friday 11th. From that date extra places could be available but that is up to the organisers of the paintball field.

As this one will be open to people viewing this forum I will ask that you PM me for bank details to place your deposit. only players that have paid for a deposit will be booked and IF you have paid your deposit and do not arrive on the day or cannot make it or find yourself a replacement then deposit will be forfited and donated to SAU.

So exact details are as follows

Date: 19th Nov 2005

Time: From 11.30am onwards

Place: Details I am not allowed to give up but it will be approx 5 min drive from the Ellenbrook area

Cost: $20 although paintballs are not included.

Deposit need to be paid by the 11th of Nov.

P.S. For guys that already own paintball guns, you are allowed to bring them. You also attract a cheaper painball ammo (i think $50 for 500 can find out). Only drawback you will have to bring your own refils though of either HPA or C02.

    • I had some time over the last week  and decided to test if block filler will hold the blocks shape similar to a torque plate after the head has been removed. 1, 3 and 5 were measured at 9 points each before and after. MY goal was to see how much impact a torque plate has on the shape of the bore. The first set of measurements were taken with the main girdle and head off with no filler. The block was then filled with grout up to the water pump (half fill) and the girdle and head were torqued to spec. The block sat leveled for 7 days and was disassembled. The second set of measurements were then taken. Results are presented as the delta between the original and new value. All values in the PowerPoint are presented in inches because America. The largest changes were 0.0035 in or 0.0889 mm between cylinders 3 and 5. There may have been even greater changes if the block was filled to the top with grout. I hope this information is useful and I'm curious to hear what you guys think.       Notes: My block had the most wear in cylinders 3 and 4. Due to the amount of change in 3, I measured 2, 4 and 6 separately. 4 was also all over the place. 6 was similar to 1. They were not included to keep the test objective.
    • I also find it hilarious, everyone thinks chop idle tunes sound cool, and they do... Because they sound like an angry rotary engine idling.
