Plenty , anyone cought on the silver eagle radar , especialy in metro areas should ask for compo form the cops .

Silver eagle is the one in the police car with the aerial on the roofracks of the car , not as they say in SMH " radar gun " , the one the officer points at you thats a laser gun and it is DIFFERENT to silver eagle .

some sort of light flashes when you drive by esecially at night BUT it's not the camera flash. just sets up the vehicle to be lit up if it is speeding.

Sensor strips in the road count one way only eg (1, 2, 3, 4) so if you are driving towards the lens side of camera you can't get done as the sensors can't count backwards and they are not allowed to photograph your face, legal reasons.

This is only what i know about NSW suburban fixed speed cameras and don't take what i say as gospel.

my cuz is a cop and the only ones that can get u face on are the infra red ones, which he was sayin have a different lense, the common flat white faced ones can only get u from behind, but the other lenses with an orangey colour and most have like a little visor on them can get u head on, in wollongong, the 2 examples are on mount ousely rd where those ones get u head on

then we have numerous other ones that are the more common type which only get u from behind, like near the beach when u head towards the lighthouse

Remote start, security with tilt sensor and remote and backup battery, auto fold mirrors and door illumination.    Can post up pics of all the factory options and images from the factory options brochure if people are interested. I have all the dealer books etc for all rv37 models.

    • Thanks Paul.   i have Friends at Nissan. Acquiring and attempting an instal is no issue. Getting the system isn’t a problem, I’ll get it direct from Nissan Japan over Nissan Australia anyway. Cheaper and quicker!  Do these mates get it working or is it just acquiring?   Interested to know what was required to get it functioning if that’s what your meaning.    An importer/dealer just sold one near me with remote start installed and working, and a believe they do their own compliance. But it still needs to pass the pits so that’s interesting reagrdin legalities. I know Vf commodores have it so assumed the modern skylines must meet aust standards.
    • Getting the remote start is a pain. My local Nissan can do it but it's not allowed to do it. Something about remote start rules regulations in Aus. The Nissan one doesn't tick all the boxes. I think the only way is having a friend that works at a Nissan service centre to do it for on the sly. But that's impossible because people who work at our local Nissan service don't make friends because they are always screwing everyone over
