Stock BOV position on R33 GTR

Hi guys,

where is the stock BOV on an R33 GTR and where is the optimal mounting point of aftermarket ones?

Shoudl they be mounted the same place the stockers were on?

Another thing I forgot to add is can you gfet defected for something the cops can't see...... say if the BOV's were down on either side of the cooler behind the mesh..??

Obviously we're talking about if the aftermarket BOV in use is atmo venting ? They're defectable due to noise so it's not whether they see it, but moreso hear it that is the issue ..

The R33 GTR's BOV are located behind the drivers side front bar indicator, they are not visible from the outside. So if you think about it, even if the cops pull you over and your engine bay looks pretty stock, they will not be able to find the BOVs and most likly let you go.... or try to pin something else on you...

GregGTR - do you have aftermarket ones?... are they mounted where the orignals are?

Yep I have two Greddy Type R BOVs, they are located in the stock possition venting to atmos, (not by choice though, as my return pipe is busted).... I don't know if aftermarket ones bolt directly to the cast BOV manifolds, as I made a new one out of stainless.....
