Apexi pods

removed boost restrictor

rest completely stock

228kw @ 13 psi

Now with Garrett -5's

Turbosmart eboost street

289kw @ 15.5 psi

I have 2 R32 GTR's

R32 GTR 1989 Drift car

crank setup balanced

Factory block

Factory head (cams, cam gears and ports etc all stock) with heaver valve springs

factory rb25 harmonic balancer

Steel head gasket

Chinese manifold twinscroll t4 flange

garrett gt3582

tial 44mm vband gate

cp forged 86.5mm pistons

eagle forged rods

factory crank with collar

nitto oil pump with 1 spring removed

1000cc fuel injector clinic

tomei fuel reg

10an feed

bocsh 044

link g4

made 385kw atw and 2250nm on 18 psi at 7000rpm on BP 98, on a dynapack hub dyno.

tuner said factory cams ran out of puff and were making almost no gains with higher boost.

looking at doing cams and cam gears etc in the future to get more revs

1991 R32 GTR (brought this one this way with intentions to modd then found out it had all this gear

r33 rb26dett

factory block

factory crank

factory harmonic balancer

factory rods and pistons as far as i can see

factory manifolds i think

aftermarket aggresive cams (ruff idle)

bigger injectors 600cc maby

power enterprise ball bearing pe1520 turbos and dump pipes

steel head gasket

hks actuators

am guessing oil pump is after market

unsure of fuel pump

link g4

makes 304kw on 15.5psi peak power at 7200rpm and 95 octane fuel (limit 7500) on a dynapack dyno

will take for a re-tune with my tuner at some point once ive sorted a few things and try it on 98

any ideas for good simple mods from here?

Old Tune: 349.6 rwkw (4th gear)

New Tune: 353.4 rwkw (4th gear)

2nd Dyno Graph:

New Tune: 359.6 rwkw (5th gear)

Apparently the dyno was hitting some limiter in 4th gear?

Apparently that is why you see the sudden drop at the end of the power curve?

But the 5th gear run allows the run to rev right out?
Can someone explain this to me?

Had the Stagea tuned after a few upgrades and the switch to flex-fuel/E85.

Very happy with how quickly it comes on boost but looking at the dyno graph it does start to fall over pretty early. I'm thinking that maybe the 3 inch JDM cat -back (probably got a 2.5 inch restrictor) is starting to hold it back.

Standard except for:

1 bar boost (restrictor removed)

Apexi Power FC

Catco metal cat

Apexi N 1 cat back

Tuned by Paul at Pulse Racing

Wasn't expecting this much power atw..... Not sure if inflated but Def happy with the response. Pulls much harder and feels smooth.

Heya guys, my setup.

R32 GTR RB26

Assembled, blueprinted and balanced by Tarmac Solutions in Sydney

OEM rods/pistons/crank (with moly rings)

Garrett GT2860R-7 turbos on OEM manifolds (port matched to turbos) and dumps

Tomei PONCAM Type-B cams on OEM valves and springs

Haltech Platinum Pro

550cc injectors with OEM pump, reg and rail

2.5" front pipes to 3" exhaust (no cat, streetable Jasma muffler)

Twin filter pods, no MAFs

OEM intercooler and pipework

Yellow Jacket coils

Reliability:

Tapped crank oil feeds

Crank collar

Tomei oil pump

9L baffled and gated sump

N1 water pump

ACL Race Series bearings

Permaseal MLS-R head gasket

OEM gasket kit

340kw (~450hp) @20psi with fat midrange and great pull from 4500rpm (9000rpm redline)

Previously made ~330kw @20psi with more power under 4000rpm. Only change was a refresh (hone, rings and bearings) and Tomei cams.

This setup found 20-30kw from 4500rpm upwards and makes for a much more 'thrashable' setup on track.

Cruising fuel consumption is down (we pulled fuel out under 4000rpm and added fuel above that rpm)

http://youtu.be/yZWgEWPTFqc

I don't care for the number it produced, I only care for driveablity, thrashability and reliability. With more area under the curve and better economy around town, I'm more than happy with the addition of cams on an otherwise pretty tame setup.

Mark :)

Best run of 360. On low but left it fat at 350 ish 19 psi

426 kw on 26 psi both united e85

Interestingly was 415 and we cracked airbox (std) and jumped to 426 so I will mod it. Another tuner said couldn't crack 400 with pump (walbro e85) and airbox or that I couldn't go over 24 psi on -5 guess he was wrong

yes, you can thank me later Portaz (saves people searching for your specs)
