How you achieved 760 to 780 engine horsepower is beyond anything I've ever witnessed or believed was possible.

From memory 5's run right outta puff at about 360hp each at around 2 bar. Your running less boost and tiny injectors but are able to find 40 to 60 hp more?

I reckon theres a sneaky 70hp wet shot thrown in there just quietly.

They are rated at 360 hp at the highest rpm that Garrett tests them at. Not the max that they will physically flow.

The RPM in this case is dictated by the boost your running which is 25psi.

How else do you make a turbo spin faster you raise the boost

Or raise the flow...

Boost pressure is nothing more than a measurement of restriction to flow.

how are you raising the flow without raising the boost these garretts are measured up to 3.1 bar absolute which is obviously 2.1 bar of boost which is 30.45 psi and are living at 165,000 rpm that's the end of the road for this turbo.

For you to make your Power claim you would need to exceed this pressure which you haven't done because they physically won't do it.

Or....... if you follow the graph to the right. More flow.

Whatever you are used to seeing people do with these motors obviously requires more pressure to overcome its flow restriction than this motor does.

The compressor map that I just showed you is of the turbo on a bench on its own, not on an engine.

the turbos compressor wheel doesn't get more efficient or grow in size by adding it to an amazing engine.

But it will physically spin faster than what they tested it to, correct?

Wonder how the Z32 guys are making well north of 500whp these days on stock turbos?

Even if the results are not accurate PranK?

Well, thats hard and makes it difficult to keep a 'results only' thread. Maybe create a thread just for this discussion and link to it from here? Then people can keep reading if they want or skip over if they don't care?

(Thats a legitimate question - what do you think?)

Rebuilt forged motor

R34 GTR N1 turbos (2860-7's)

Sard 650cc injectors

Walbro 460lp/h fuel pump (12v direct feed)

Splitfire Coilpacks

Blitz SBC

Nistune ECU

Nismo AFM's

Standard airbox with K&N panel filter

Greddy adj. cam gears (2deg. advanced on inlet, 4deg. retard on exhaust)

Full custom exhaust (2.5" twin dumps with separate wastegate collector (350mm long split) into 3" collector, into 3.5" cat delete all the way to the end with x2 custom mufflers.)

Looking at the graph it looks to me like these are making full boost quite a bit later than other cars with similar setups...

I'll post this in my 'build' section so as not to comment in this section...
