Cheap Project Car?

Does anyone have any clues on where I can pick up some sort of damaged/cheap R32, Silvia or 180sx just to strip down and restore. It dosent matter if the car is Auto or non-turbo as long as its cheap! All i really need is a rolling shell, any help would be great. Hoping to spend less than 3k

You might have a bit of trouble finding a 32 or 180 for under $3,000, unless its really damaged. And you dont want a car thats had too much damage if your going to use it as a project and spend dollors on it.

You would be able to get a CA18DE Silvia for that price, It will more then likely need a bit of work. (but thats what your after anyway).

yeah, i have had a bit of a look and it seems as if some sort of non-turbo silvia would be good. So if anyone knows of one can the let me know?

you could probably get an exa n13 for under 3.

just remember that brakes, diffs and fuel systems are worse when getting non turbo cars for turbo applications. unless your spending up real big and replacing all that stuff anyway.

I reckon 3000 is heaps for a shell, you'll find one somewhere so stick with it. R32 gtst would be a far better starting point for a track car since it has double wishbone front instead of stuts.

I know someone with a manual rolling turbo S13 Silvia they are trying to sell.

Chipped ECU, exhaust and a few other pretty bits. Think he wants 5.5k for the whole thing.

Perfectly good running order. Just needs to paintwork.

Get a AE71 or KE70, there a good little base for a drifter, basically same shell as a AE86.

thanks guy, I ended up findin a non-turbo S13 Silvia ca auto for $1500. It runs and the body is real good except for a few minor things. So the next part is to find a cheap half cut, and let the games begin
