Hi all,

Alot of people rave about Redline oils and how great they are.

Has anyone actually used Redline WaterWetter (radiator additive) and has it made any difference?

Also has anyone tried their fuel additives? Did it end up cleaning your injectors and improve power or fuel economy?

Product website link: http://www.redlineoil.com.au/product-infor...asp#waterwetter

Cheers

these redline oils seem to be the sh|t to get.... maybe someone should do a list of porducts they release and what they can be used for. ( i know it should be obvious but there are some people out there)

I put wetterwater in my GTR, and the temp reading on the PFC did actually drop ~3-5 degrees on average. I was pretty skeptical the stuff would work, but a redline rep was at the shop i buy my oils from and gave me a bottle for free to try out (granted, i was buying about $400 worth of diff and gearbox oils).

Going back a few years ago I used to use Wynn's spit fire in my Cressida (had around 180,000kms on the clock) every couple of months.

I found a massive difference after I had run it for a bit of a drive and then left it for a few hours to settle. Always idled better, accelerated smoother. Didn't notice anything on any of my other cars, which were all < 100,000 kms though.

I spent about that much a few months ago when i bought redline engine, tranny, diff and diesel injector cleaner for my 4x4.

The diff and tranny oils work great but i would spend that much on engine oil again on a diesel as you need to change it every 5000-7000km.

The diesel injector cleaner works great and the redline dealer was telling me alot of porsche owners rave about the petrol injecotr cleaner

I brought the whole redline range , cost me an arm n a leg :(

I think the 5l (from redline store penrith) cost me i think $96. i had to get another one for next time to. The 1 ltr bottles are $25.

Water wetter works Awsome, noticed big drop in temp, HKS guage only moved a little over 40degrees.

Gear oil is about 120.

I did notice the engine oil still looked like it did when i poured it in 5000kms ago . Decided to just change filter and top it up . I beleive it lasts about 20000kms non turbo.

Your HKS guage only shows just over 40degree's for operating temp?!? :(

Either your thermostat is buggered or the temp sender is buggered.

Engine oil isn't doing its job if its not getting dirty.

This is critical on a street driven motor.

Is the redline oil considered a race type oil or is it designed for street duty's that require much more detergents?

I ran some injector cleaner in my 10 year old Hyundai and noticed a performance gain after. A better maintained car might not have the same benefit though! Haven't tried it in the skyline.
