Does anyone know if the Rb26 Plenum is a direct fit onto the RB25de head, or does it need an adopter plate of some kind???

Yes, you are right! You will need an adapter plate. RIPS in New Zealand make them.

Loss of power?

I was thinking about doing a similiar thing so my intercooler piping isn't hanging over the head (should lose close to 1metre of piping).

Any more info on loss of power? (RB25DETwith just over 250rwkws)

You can run a forward facing plenum thats not a problem just a gtr one will lose you power as the rb20/25 heads dont have the same port angles as the rb26 head and the plenum doesnt suite it and from my experience, reading it done on a rb20 in zoom, and seeing it done on a 25 they both lost power, same with moving the throttle body to the front on a rb25 standard intake they always lose power especially mid range!!!

Yep, the stock one is totally fine for over 300rwkw, no need to change something that works just for the sake of spending $$$$$
