Was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem before and what the solution was.

I took my car to the drags last night to try and confirm some problems i have been having.

My car seems to lack power the colder it gets which is exactly the opposite of what should happen.

Anywas at the drags last night i went from running a 16 sec time to over 18 seconds at the end of the night due to the cooling of the air.

totally cant put my finger on this one as you should be able to run better times due to the air becoming denser at night.

any ideas?

Noise, thats exactly what should happen

a huge improvement in power should be felt with colder air

nah, it wasnt just lucky justin911. I have never been to the strip before, so am a totally newbie

plus my 60' times improved every time

and as for my engine being hot, it stayed at a constant 70oC with at least an Hour between runs and i gave my tyres a shit burnout for the 16s runs so that cant be it either

but as for the sparkplugs maybe that could be it

i originally had iridiums gapped at 1.1, but changed to stockies at 0.8 as it seems to be the norm for everyone in australia but will give my car a go with differant plugs and see how she fairs
