About the s15 crash on gympie rd.

thanx, i could have got killed tho as i was in the passenger seat when the stationwagon hit us head on. but yeah, luckily walked away with a sore leg. haha

All i can say i was there the whole time and it was the stupid shit in the s15's fault, he was trying to slide.. failed terribly... i have many pics of this accident pulled over for an hour or so spoke to the lady who was in the falcon etc...

Or is the car goin to be completely handed over to insurance to sell off to a wrecker?

if it is written off im going to try and get my rims back as i have the stock ones to swap them over...im yet to determine what ill do with them if i get them, if i buy a 32 gtr than ill put them on that if they fit, otherwise ill sell them off...as far as i know the rubber is in excellent condition aswell with plenty of tread

If your able to sell off any parts, let us know...

and if u havent told the insurance company about the change or mags/tyres... you might not then be convered under insurance as i'm sure you have to tell them about all changes made to the car.

that i'm not 100% sure but best to check up on that.

Some people have told me you have to, some said some things aren't compulsory to tell insurance companies such as headdecks, etc etc.

liam mate if your car is written off u will lose any parts u have put on it that are not on your insurance policy (not only to say not listing your mags or a sports exhaust or Bov etc etc can viod your insurance), You can buy the wreck back but whats the point of that by the looks of the pic's motor will be as good as a boat anchor & that only leaves other parts from it but ut will cost you, the normal procedure is for them to sell the wreck back to you @ the value of it if a wrecking yard was to buy it, I would be getting on the phone & start doing some checking....

i know what it looked like, but purely it was an accident. yes, he was spinning his wheels, but not on purpose as u drive in the rain in a RWD turbo charged car, u just can not put ur foot down, can u. as soon as i started yellin in the car( tellin him he was spinnin the wheels, he paniced and put his foot on the brake and thats y the car started lookin its sliding sideways. then everything happened. we told all we could to the police and of course it has to be his fault.

i do feel sorry for the ppl involved coz they did not do anything wrong at all. luckily the lady was al right. so were the others.

i wouldnt call him a knob coz he did not do any stupid shit on purpose. but definitely he needs to learn how to drive in the rain specially in a high power car.

yeah, that blue s15 was my car til i sold it to a mate of mine two weeks ago. i was in his car when it happened.

yeah, thats what happens when an inexperience driver drives a turbo RWD car in the rain.lost traction and lost control of the car. totally write off.

cant agree with u more. s15s ( or any silvias) can be really dangerous to drive specially in the wet if u dont know what u r doin. if u drive the way u would in the dry condition( exactly what he did) in the wet, u r gone. as simple as that.

i fail to see how you find it hard to get traction in the wet. i can drive my s13 which is set up to drift in the wet and i can get traction no problems, i can drive it safely in the wet with no hassle.

my skyline has in the vicinity of 350rwhp and this too i have no problem driving in the wet,

if i wanted to i can make my mums 00 pulsar wheelspin madly in the wet and get the tail out round corners, does this make a pulsar a bad car and a powerful car that is hard to drive in the wet? no it does not.

As a matter of fact it seems that many ex-private school mummies boys should in fact be driving mums 4wd instead of having mummy buy them a relatively expensive and overly powerful vehicle...

the cars has gone to the assessor's and has been determined as uneconomical to repair and thus classed as a write-off.
