A friend of mine, her boyfriend has an excel with a evo engine in it.. Was in the mags n all, for werid conversions.. hahah so i guess if u get bored you can always put in a evo engine.. lol..

hmm the guy is sellin it actually.. If anyone interested pm me, n i will ask for his number..

Enjoy the car man..

PS anyone wanna buy my camry! 6000$$$ .. v6 csx vienta..

I look at all the car enthusiasts whose first cars were turbos or V8s, compared to the guys getting around in old bangers, and the latter can generally punt a car faster around a corner and a lot more smoothly than people who've always lived with a lot of power under the right foot.

It's probably cause it's easier to learn a vehicles limits in an underpowered car. My first car was a mirage and shit i could hang that thing around a corner quick.... so basicly i think you get a better feel for it with the smaller cars and it helps when you then get into something alittle more ballsier....

anyways,

congrats on the new car, albight it is an excel, it's still a fun little car, my mate used to have one and we used to hammer it as fast over this one speed hump all day, taking turns to see how much air we could get with it..... great memories....

It's a piece of crap but it's economical and should allow you to save a fair whack of money if you're wise about it. Don't modify it. Not even in the slightest. Just maintain it and don't thrash the crap out of it and you should be able to get away with minimal damage come resale time.

My sister has one of those - My god they are slow! We couldnt even get it up to 140km/hr (on a closed airstrip :( ) Got to 138....Good luck with it, fuel economy is GOLD

ohh really???

my top speed is.......

161km/h

but with 4 people in the car going down a slight hill

but she was starting to hit rev limiter and it didnt sound too good

revving like a motorbike

man its so funny how much people will pay and wont pay for cars!

I bought my 97 lancer for $4000 on the road (damaged and i fixed for that amount)

they where valued at $8k at the time. i think i did an awsome deal!

and they funny thing is i saw one a year older then me sold at the auctions for $8000. I freaked out!

Excellent choice for a first car. Helps you build your experience and cheap to insure and run enabling you to save up so in a few years time you can get something quicker if you want.

Well done B)

man, im trying to sell my wife 97 lantra for $5K, 131,000 machancially its in mint condtion, the body is a bit scratched but no rust etc.

anyone interested? fuel saving is great, but the auto is sooooooo boring i feel like killing my self everytime i drive it!!!!
