I need to buy a new afm now as the one I have now is playing up.

I'm about to fit a gt2530 turbo, pfc, gtr injectors and 040 pump to my r32gtst, however not till after christmas.

I'm chasing 200 rwkw give or take.

It seems pointless to me to replace the afm with a stocky but some people seem to make this power without changing to a z32 afm.

If I buy a z32 afm now and fit the pfc and select the z32 option will the map run the car satisfactorily without an immediate tune?

Stock AFM is fine, but the Z32 AFM is a better unit for tunability and future proofing.

If your stock AFM wasn't playing up I'd say leave it for your 200rwkW target (or until it becomes a restriction), but I'm going to take a guess and say you're not going to want to live with "only" 200rwkW forever. At which point, your replacement stock AFM is going to be a waste.

And its not like the car is going to perform worse with the Z32 AFM at your current level of tune because it can't cope with the lower airflow, so there's no technical negative to it.

Be a man.

Do the right thing.

I've read a lot of threads on this.

My conclusion is that either afm would work for 200rwkw.

I'd probably buy a z32 afm later but have been forced to decide now due to the stocky failing.

The main point of my thread is to find out how well the pfc will function with the z32 afm on it's base map until I can fit my new turbo and 444cc injectors and have it fully tuned.

U may as well get a Z32 meter coz it really wont hurt especially with a pfc, however running a HKS GT2530 u dont really need a pfc, if u upgrade your fuel pump and get a HKS FCD and maybe a fuel regulator to adjust fuel pressure you should be good to around 220-230kw at the rear with your standard injectors, u can get ur ecu remapped and your rev limiter changed to 8200rpm and u should have one sweet ride
