R32 Gtr Front Driveshaft

Hey Guys,

Just after some help on removal of the R32 GTR front drivers side driveshaft. I managed to get the passengers side one out with no problems but the drivers side one appears to be a little more complicated.

Does anyone have any idea how to get this?

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

It needs to be punched.

There is a bit of a lip on the outer CV joint - you need to hook a long screwdriver or similar on there, then thump it with a big hammer, then the shaft should pop out of the diff housing.

All after removing the hub from the outer end of the shaft.

get a screwdriver on each side and give it a pop, i tried one screwdriver for about 3 hours then tried two and it came straight out

That means that the RH front wheel needs to be off the car, as does the disc and front hub??

Sorry, its just a little confusing in its description.

From memory, you can leave the brakes assembled. You need to disconnect the lower control arm from the hub, and also disconnecting the swaybar link helps as well. That allows the whole hub assembly to pivot far enough that you can pull the spline out the back of the hub.

Then remove the inner end of the shaft from the diff.
